5:47Now PlayingDefence Secretary John Healey has refused to rule out British aircraft taking part in offensive operations over Iran in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Sky News in Cyprus, Mr Healey was asked about military action in the air but he refused to directly address the issue.
He said: "Everything that we have done is defensive, is legal and is co-ordinated with our other allies, it's one of the great strengths that Britain, NATO allies and long standing partners like Qatar, like Jordan, like Cyprus have in working with the Brits."
