6:22Now PlayingReform UK's deputy leader Richard Tice says his party is "not afraid" of Andy Burnham.
Reform's candidate Robert Kenyon came second in the Makerfield by-election - more than 9,200 votes behind Burnham - although it is the third-highest vote tally in a Westminster constituency ever for the party.
Tice said: "I mean, he is known as some people call him the King of the North. We call him, you know, King of the U-turn. I mean, he flip-flops on anything. We're not afraid of anything."
