Her killer, David Taylor, is serving a whole life tariff in prison. A place where he's gone on to commit more violence, including another murder.
This is the first time the full story is being told with Sky News being given unique access to the police investigation. It's a story that has taken us from Manchester to County Durham to Derbyshire in search of the truth about what happened to Alisha.
Along the way we find tragic missed opportunities – that might have prevented what happened.
