Let’s play the MAGA classic: “Imagine If Obama Did This.” Imagine President Barack Obama threatening to revoke the citizenship of, say, Ted Nugent. Imagine Obama saying he was going to defund Republican-led cities because they disagreed with him. Imagine Obama announcing he’d have Ron DeSantis arrested for opposing his agenda. Just picture it: Obama goes after Fox News because they ran a negative story about him, and suddenly Sean Hannity is under federal investigation. Would MAGA be fine with that? Would Fox News quietly nod along and talk about how bold and presidential he is? Or would they spontaneously combust into an inferno of red, white, and conspiracy? We all know the answer. The difference is, Trump is doing these things. But when it’s your guy, it’s not tyranny—it’s “tough leadership.” That’s the whole game. Imagine if Obama did it. You’d be screaming. But Trump does it, and you call it Tuesday.
