The Global Sumud Flotilla tried to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza and was intercepted by the Israeli Navy. After Itamar Ben-Gvir released a video taunting the detained activists, Israeli officials, foreign governments, and media figures condemned him heavily.

But then something interesting happened.

When some of those same flotilla activists returned to Spain, Spanish police were filmed beating and dragging people during clashes at Bilbao Airport — and the global reaction seemed a lot quieter.

So the question is simple: is this about human rights, or is it about condemning Israel?

In this reaction, I break down the Ben-Gvir video, the flotilla’s attempt to bypass the blockade, the Spanish police footage, and the selective outrage that always seems to appear when Israel is involved.

Was Ben-Gvir’s video smart? Was it unnecessary? Did the flotilla activists really expect to sail through a naval blockade without consequences? And why does Spain seem to get treated differently?

Watch and decide for yourself.
