Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks argues that Israel is continuing to commit genocide in Gaza, even as the world focuses on Lebanon, Iran, and the wider Middle East conflict.

In this reaction, I respond to Ana’s claims and explain why the Hamas factor cannot be ignored. Gaza is not simply a battlefield where Israel is acting for no reason. Hamas is still in power, Hamas still holds influence, and Hamas still represents a direct threat to Israel.

My argument is simple: if Hamas disarms, releases hostages, and gives up control, the war can end. But as long as Hamas remains in power and continues to threaten Israel, Israel cannot simply walk away and pretend the threat is gone.

This video breaks down the moral, political, and military reality behind the Gaza war — and why so many commentators focus only on Palestinian suffering while ignoring the reason Israel is still fighting.
