30:43Now PlayingIn this video I present a vast pile of evidence on the meaning of "confirm a covenant" in Daniel 9:27. I present the testimony of English dictionaries, the English and German translations of the Bible, the Hebrew lexicons, commentaries based on the Hebrew text, rabbinical writings, modern Jewish translations, and the insight of modern Jewish scholars. This evidence all points to "confirm a covenant" is synonymous with "ratify a covenant" and "make a strong covenant." There is nothing in the original Hebrew which demands a prior covenant. Nor is there anything in the English and German translations examined or in the works of the Hebrew scholars examined which demands a prior covenant.
