Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth had been married for 73 years as the longest reigning married monarchy in World history.
Around Christmas time Prince Philip began having heart issues. By February he was hospitalized for an infection and underwent emergency heart surgery. He was hospitalized for about a month so the death does not come as a surprise to his family because of Prince Philips age and health.
However, he will be missed by his family and England.
Prince Philip was actually born prince of Greece. His Uncle was the king of Greece but their family had to flee to France when Greece was experiencing great distress.
I’m sure the Royal Family will be the main coverage in the media over the next week or so. Because of Covid and locked down in Great Britian the funeral will be on the simpler side but still much larger than most people and with still relatively high attendance predicted.
This will probably be the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be invited back to the royal family since giving up his royal status.
Queen Elizabeth herself is 94 years old but seems to still be in fairly good health.
