Today I'll summarize the multiple hour meeting at the White House between Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy. Both sides see a bi partisan infrastructure bill but democrats were irritated about republican push back on removing Trump tax cuts for middle class families. There are now 4 competing child tax credit proposals ranging between $3000-$12000. The IRS says they are on track to deliver first payments in July. Kevin McCarthy slams Biden, rising gas and food prices and calls him the next Jimmy Carter as worries of inflation increase. 9 states plan to end the federal unemployment boost early. A former economic advisor to Clinton and Obama tells Biden to end the unemployment early or face high inflation.
