Senator Josh Hawley wants to see $500 a month or $1000 a month go to parents for the permanent tax credit. Lawmakers will seek to make the child tax credit as a month check permanent. However, now they are saying this provision should be for working people that pay taxes. They don't want this to become another incentive not to work. Social Security administration benefit receives could see a 6.2% increase on monthly benefits based on COLA data. In 2020 benefits only increased 1.6% leaving many unprepared for the inflation driven price increases. The crisis at the border continues. At the same time the white house and pentagon have decided to send 3000 more troops to the middle east as the Taliban continues to take back territory and billions of dollars in tax payer funded military equipment.
