I hope Tucker Carlson will have him on again. In this interview, former Lieutenant and Capitol Police Officer Tarik Johnson discusses the events surrounding the January 6th Capitol breach with Stephen Gardner. He emphasizes that the breach was NOT an organized armed insurrection but rather a chaotic event with insufficient police presence to prevent it. Johnson criticizes former Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pitman for withholding critical intelligence and taking actions that led to the breach and subsequent cover-up. Johnson also points out that information from the FBI about planned infiltrations was not adequately shared with the Capitol Police. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified to congress that capitol police were left in the dark about FBI plans and Yoganada Pitman withheld crucial information about attack worries.
Johnson was put in a difficult position during the event and shared his experience of wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat as a measure to navigate the crowd and de-escalate the situation. He resigned from his position following the events, and he believes that a cover-up has taken place to protect those responsible for mishandling the situation. He calls for further investigation into Pitman and the former Capitol Police Chief, Jay Thomas Manger and former house speaker Nancy Pelosi.
