Here's a partial and growing list of excuses being given for the Democrats' sudden realization that Joe Biden has dementia:
- Democrats assumed it was a right-wing conspiracy theory.
- Biden's top aides hid him in a protective cocoon, so nobody saw his decline.
- Biden could still read a teleprompter, so they assumed everything was fine.
- Jill Biden refused to let staff into the White House residence.
- All videos showing creeping senility were just edited "cheap fakes."
This is either one of the most extraordinary cases of willful ignorance, cognitive dissonance, or Washington CYA you will ever see. I suspect the latter.
But, if you are genuinely surprised to realize Joe Biden is senile, maybe it's also time to reconsider your view of Donald Trump and ask yourself: How many lies have you believed about him?
