Virginia held a redistricting vote that could flip the state's congressional map dramatically. Democrat Congresswoman Resigns Before Ethics Hearing
Florida Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick resigned from Congress moments before a House Ethics Committee sanctions hearing — conveniently eliminating the committee's jurisdiction. She had been federally indicted for allegedly diverting $5 million in FEMA overpayments into her own campaign and personal accounts. She still faces criminal trial.
