Democrats lost one Supreme Court case, and Hakeem Jeffries’ answer wasn’t “make better arguments” or “win more voters” — it was, “when we’re back in power, we’re coming for the Supreme Court.” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is now calling the Court “corrupt” and openly warning that if Democrats retake Congress, “nothing is off the table,” including court‑packing to undo Donald Trump’s biggest Supreme Court wins. This is the left’s new strategy: if they can’t control the justices, they’ll try to change the rules and add their own.
Jeffries is enraged because the Supreme Court just nuked a race‑based Louisiana redistricting map, a ruling that could cost Democrats 14–20 House seats once multiple states redraw their lines. Louisiana is already moving to pick up two new Republican seats, and other red states are watching closely. At the same time, Louisiana Democrats are drowning in their own scandals: a sheriff indicted on 30 counts, a mayor charged in a Medicaid fraud scheme, and another former mayor convicted over a sexual relationship with her son’s teenage friend. This is the political machine now screaming about “protecting democracy.”
Meanwhile, Barack Obama is furious the Court won’t let Democrats gerrymander by race in Louisiana, even after a Virginia judge just said their “reform” there was misleading and unconstitutional. If Republicans redraw maps, it’s “Jim Crow”; if Democrats do it, it’s “justice.” And while Democrats melt down over Trump cracking a light‑hearted space joke with astronauts, Trump is busy choking Iran’s economy with a naval blockade and financial sanctions, forcing Tehran to choose between giving up its nuclear dreams or facing new U.S. military options. In other words, one side is threatening the Court; the other is actually governing.
