Kevin Gregson had been troubled since childhood. From shooting animals with a pellet gun to uncontrollable rages, he eventually ran away from home several times and ended up in foster care. After being charred and convicted for theft, Gregson waited ten years to try to get a pardon and his record sealed. On the force, Gregson was suspended several times due to a number of run-ins with other officers.
On December 29, 2009, Gregson stabbed and killed Constable Eric Czapnik at the emergency entrance of the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Afterward, he was restrained by four civilians before being taken into custody.
As always, we'll also find a bit about the psychology behind the interrogation and what is most likely happening in the mind of the suspect.
