Kathy Coy’s life was marred by abuse, mental illness, and fractured relationships, leading her to believe that having a baby would resolve her issues. Despite skepticism from those around her, she persisted in pretending to be pregnant, even stealing a sonogram and buying baby items. Coy befriended two pregnant women online, ultimately arriving at a friend's house with a newborn still attached to its umbilical cord and the mother's organs, attempting to pass the baby off as her own. When the police investigated, they discovered Jamie Stice was missing. After hours of interrogation, Coy confessed to luring Stice with a promise of shopping for baby supplies, only to stun her and c*t the baby from her body. Stice tragically did not survive, but her baby miraculously did.
