These were completely impromptu so I had to record on my phone. The first guy, Philip, overheard my friend and I talking about the camping ordinance and he chimed in so I asked him to sit down with us.
After that interview, Ashleigh said she recognized me from previous interviews I've done with the homeless around Austin. The first thing she asked me was, "Are you mocking us?" I bought everybody some coffee, we sat down, and we talked about it face-to-face... the way a community should.
