Civics is the study of the rights and duties of a citizen. The word “Civics” has been derived from the Latin word “Civis” which means citizen. The study of civics revolves around the life of a citizen in a state. the major focus remains towards the rights and duties of a citizen. In the same way, civics can also be defined as the science that studies different aspects of our collective life, political, social, economic, and rights and duties. The maintenance of moderate relations between the citizen and state is also the study of civics.

The term “Civic Sense” means that people should be conscious of their obligations and responsibilities which may develop a beautiful and healthy society. In terms of its scope, civics has its scope in the social, economic, and political spheres.

There is a fundamental difference between civics and political science. The civics offer us more practical knowledge of how to become a good citizen.
