The lecture discusses Muslim grievances regarding the Wardha educational scheme, promotion of Hindi, the singing of Bande Mataram and the use of Congress symbols. It also examines the Pirpur Report, the Sharif Report and the resignation of the Congress ministries in 1939.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared 22 December 1939 as the Day of Deliverance after the resignation of the Congress governments. The period played an important role in strengthening Muslim political unity and support for the All-India Muslim League.
