At just 11 years old, he was witness to his father's brutal murder of his mother. He didn't see what happened but instead heard the blunt-force beating.
His father, a prominent Ohio doctor, told young Collier his mom ran away from home. Not even a teenager yet, Collier know it was not true, tipping off the police.
Years later, he created “A Murder in Mansfield”, the documentary about Ohio's "trial of the century" by two-time Oscar-winning director, Barbara Kopple.
Collier's work has been featured in Variety, The New York Times, Esquire, USA Today, The Daily Mail. Collier is a TED Speaker and a featured guest on the Dr. Phil show.
He’s a formally trained musician and photographer and, now, host of his own successful podcast: “Moving Past Murder”.
