Karen Read is on trial for the murder of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'keefe. Read is accused of killing O'Keefe in January of 2022. Prosecutors say she hit him with her SUV and then left him in a blizzard. Karen Read's attorneys say prosecutor have it all wrong and that she's being framed as part of a massive coverup. The defense claims O'Keefe was attacked inside the home.
The trial is expected to last 6-8 weeks. The judge says the schedule will include full days on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and half days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
