Donna Adelson is set to appear before a judge Wednesday morning as she seeks to be released from jail to await her June trial.
Accused in the 2014 murder-for-hire of her former son-in-law, FSU Law professor Dan Markel, Adelson’s defense argues she fears for her safety after allegedly being threatened, extorted, and roughed up by fellow inmates.
The court will also consider a motion to exclude part of a recorded jail phone call with her son, Charlie Adelson, who was recently convicted in the same plot.
#BestGuest: Jo Potuto, Professor Emerita at the University of Nebraska Law School.
