Welcome to Surviving the Survivor, the show that brings you the #BestGuests in all of true crime. In this STS LUNCH LIVE host Joel Waldman breaks down the very latest testimony from court and recaps the key moments that played out in the courtroom.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is in the spotlight in a high‑stakes federal racketeering and sex‑trafficking trial centered on explosive allegations—from drug‑fueled ‘freak‑off’ orgies and forced prostitution to coercion, kidnapping and bribery. Prosecutors have called more than 30 witnesses, including ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and ‘Jane,’ former staff, Homeland Security agents, and personal assistant Brendan Paul, whose testimony decoded Combs’ coded “Gucci bag active” slang and detailed a decade‑long criminal enterprise. The defense insists all encounters were consensual and aims to undermine witness credibility. With the prosecution expected to rest and closing arguments imminent, Combs, who hasn’t testified, faces life in prison if convicted. This is expected to be the state's last day of full testimony.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is on federal trial in NYC, facing a five-count indictment that includes racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and two counts of transportation for purposes of prostitution. Prosecutors allege he led a criminal enterprise that orchestrated “freak‑offs”—involving coercive abuse, kidnapping, arson, and bribery. Diddy has pleaded not guilty but if convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
