According to an op-ed published in the Lebanese al-Akhbar newspaper, the author Waleed Sharara argues that after World War II, the central goal of the US grand strategy was to prevent the formation of a Eurasian space intertwined with interests and interacting positively at the political level, in order to block Washington's hegemony over what it called the "old world."

Sharara also argues that this strategic partnership between China and Iran directly threatens the hegemony of the US in the Middle East, do you agree with this assessment or it is wishful thinking?
