Stuck in the Middle with You

I want to talk to you about the journey that I have been on during the last 5 years. Well, it’s probably more like a decade, I don’t want this to be too long, so I’m doing a series of videos that talk about how, in the last 3 years or so, I have gone from an active, credible member of “the left”… to being considered “right wing”, without my politics changing.

Truthfully, it’s been very weird.

It’s also been very painful.

And as of today, I am confused, and frankly, like a lot of people… a bit lost.

I’m hoping that others might benefit from me telling the story, because I know that there are a lot of us who are feeling the same way right now… and I want you to know: it’s not you. People haven’t gone “further left”, necessarily. Progressive politics has just been hijacked by people, who keep narrowing and redefining what “left wing” means.

They’re wrong.

This is a multi-part series. Unfortunately, the first two are me talking a bit too much about myself and my history - mostly because I think it is relevant to the story. If you want to get to the meat and potatoes, I will get there in Part 2.
