Dems Fume: Portland Protesters Assault And Blockade Federal Agents...AGAIN!

On June 18, approximately 250 protesters gathered, launching fireworks, shining lasers at federal officers, and attempting to storm the ICE building, leading to five arrests on charges including assault on federal officers. On June 19, protests continued with dozens of demonstrators, some attempting to block vehicle access and affix plywood to the building’s doors, resulting in additional arrests. By June 21, federal agents made further arrests of rioters, with reports of an encampment nearby used to recruit protesters.

Residents in the area, including those at Gray’s Landing and near the Cottonwood School, have reported ongoing disturbances, including noise, vandalism, and exposure to tear gas and other chemical munitions, which have raised health and environmental concerns. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) and federal officers, including DHS and BORTAC agents, have responded with crowd control measures like tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash grenades, declaring riots on multiple occasions, such as on June 14 and June 15.
