WUC President Dolkun Isa spoke to FRANCE 24 and raised the shameful silence of leaders of Muslim-majority countries on the arbitrary detention of more than 1 million #Uyghurs in internment camps.
While Western states have increasingly spoken out about the issue, Malaysia remain the only government of a Muslim-majority country to speak publicly on the camps.
Chinese investments, money and influence should never be placed above humanity. We urge leaders of Muslim-majority states to find their voices and speak out aginast the horrific persecution of the #Uyghur people.
