Much of his professional life has focussed on the UK Parliament, where he is well known for his work in defense of human dignity. Luke is co-founder and director of the Arise Foundation, which combats human trafficking and modern slavery. He also co-founded the Coalition for Genocide Response and advises the World Uyghur Congress. Alongside this, Luke is a fellow of Hong Kong Watch and a commissioner for the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission. He was also the driving force behind the creation of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China and coordinates it.
