Clarence Thomas’ MAGA Revisionist History Is Just Sad 🙄

In this Tarabuster clip, Tara obliterates Clarence Thomas’ unhinged new speech blaming progressivism for Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Mao.

Thomas literally claims these 20th‑century dictators were “intertwined with the rise of progressivism” and opposed the “natural rights” of the Declaration of Independence – and that “many progressives expressed admiration” for them.

This is absolute bullsh*t from the depths of the MAGAt fever-swamps, of course.

It’s a common Republican tactic to lump communism, fascism, and totalitarianism together, and pin them all on American progressives who actually backed FDR, the New Deal, and the Allied war effort that crushed Nazi Germany and eventually contained Soviet communism. Meanwhile, it was American business elites — the likes of whom Thomas is in bed with — who were Hitler’s biggest enablers.

Right wingers like Thomas smear food safety, labor protections, Social Security, and democracy itself as “Hitler” while they’re the ones attacking voting rights, union rights, and the liberal Enlightenment tradition the Declaration actually comes from.

I don’t know about you, but I’m SICK of of authoritarian gaslighting from MAGA Republicans and their Supreme Court enablers.
