Trump’s DOE has also wiped out $7.6 billion in clean energy grants for hundreds of projects in 16 states that voted for Kamala Harris, targeting blue states like New York, California and New Jersey on purpose.
Instead of building offshore wind, solar and battery projects that would power millions of homes and create good union jobs, Trump, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, and fossil fuel–backed cronies are paying companies like TotalEnergies, Bluepoint Wind and Golden State Wind to walk away from their wind farms and pour that money into oil and gas.
