YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn Episode 9 of the #ImagineDignityPodcast, I sat down with Latrice, a woman living out of her car while dealing with a serious medical condition. While trying to help her find a safe place to stay, we ran into something that broke my heart—discrimination. At a motel in Forest Park, GA, even though Latrice had ID and the funds to pay, she was still denied service just because she’s unhoused.
Thankfully, we were able to find her a spot at an extended stay, but it was tough watching the added stress and hurdles she had to go through. Latrice’s story really shows how much harder things can be for people experiencing homelessness, and it’s a reminder of why we need more compassion and understanding.
