In addition, we read from the Old Testament, Psalms, the Epistles, Revelation. Every response we give is Biblical. The words the priest says in the rubrics - scripture. Don't believe me? Go look this up yourself. You will see line by line breakdowns of the mass and where in scripture what is being said is found.
But faithful Catholics...
This is not enough. To truly know God is to study His word, to read His word, to LIVE His Word. And for this I encourage each one of you to read, study, pray, and live from scripture each and everyday.
5, 10, 15 minutes of your time is all it takes to unlock the beautiful mystery and message of His Word.
The most mind blowing part... Each time you read it, no matter how many times you have, you WILL walk away with something different.
