Let's get real for a second: self-help isn't a Christian concept. It sounds good on the surface—books, podcasts, and influencers telling us we can do it all on our own. But Jesus tells us something radically different: "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Apart from me, you can do nothing." (John 15:4-5)
Christ doesn’t call us to carry the weight of the world alone. He says, "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:30) We aren’t meant to navigate this life by ourselves, digging deeper into self-reliance when what we really need is to dig deeper into HIM.
Rely on Christ. Lean into prayer. Know that sacrifice and suffering aren’t things to avoid—they’re paths that bring us closer to Him. True growth, true healing, true peace—they come from staying connected to the source of all life, Jesus. 🌿
If you’re struggling, if you’re seeking, don’t turn to the next self-help trend. Turn to the One who made you, who knows you, who LOVES you. Pray. Stay steadfast. Let your burdens go, and let His strength carry you through.
You don't need a self-help book; you need the Good Book. 🙏🏽💪🏽
