YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Solemnity of Christ the King reminds us of a profound truth: when Christ reigns in your life, you will stand in opposition to the world—and the world will stand in opposition to you.
Revelation lays it all out: the world is not neutral ground. It is in rebellion against God, and choosing Christ means stepping into that battle. Living as a devout Christian, especially as a Catholic, puts you at odds with a culture that glorifies self over sacrifice, comfort over conviction, and fleeting pleasure over eternal truth.
The deeper you grow in your faith, the more you will feel this tension. Being devout isn’t just about private prayer or personal morality—it’s about a life that visibly proclaims Christ as King. And when you do that, the world notices. Sometimes it resists with whispers of temptation, other times with outright hostility.
But this is the mark of true discipleship. Jesus Himself said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18). To follow Him is to walk the narrow path, to reject what the world calls “normal,” and to embrace the eternal promises of the Kingdom.
This is what the Solemnity of Christ the King calls us to reflect on: Who truly reigns in your life? Choosing Christ means choosing a life that will not align with the values of the world. But it also means choosing a life of purpose, of truth, and of unshakable hope in the victory already won through His cross and resurrection.
Stand firm in your faith. Opposition is not a sign you’re doing something wrong—it’s a sign that Christ is truly King of your heart.
