I'm Gonna Do It... Saying YES To God's Call By Giving Him My Life

When I first heard about this way of life I thought it was completely insane. I LAUGHED. I said, that's good and all - but that ain't me.

Looking back on my life now though, it all makes sense...

God has a way of nudging you back on track with His perfect will for your life. But only when you fully surrender and allow Him to lead.

In truth, I never really wanted the beautiful fantasy of every little girl. I knew since I was 5 years old that my calling in this world was to inspire others to greatness. I SAID THIS as a kid - at 5. I had NO idea what the hell that even meant.

So I chased that knowing, that calling, like a drug.

I spent years dancing, acting, doing fitness. Now teaching and evangelizing about the faith. All vocations that I felt would fulfill this purpose God put me here for. But there was a supernatural vocation that I completely ignored. Or didn't realize was coming back to call me home.

When I was 17, I was discerning religious life. I chose to remain in the laity and follow what I thought was my call to the performing arts.

Little did I know that some 20 something years later I'd be right back where I started being asked to make a choice for a life so radically countercultural - and in turn saying YES to God's call.
