as posted by the channelHesperia, Ca - On Monday, January 18th, 2021. A man with a gun was trying to get into a house in the 17800 block of Orange St. The man in the house also had a gun, a gunfight broke out and the man left. The man lives on the 8900 block of Avocado Ave (just down the street). Police and Swat surrounded the suspect house but no one was found inside.
UPDATE: Through investigation, deputies learned of shooting suspect Erick Contreras’ possible whereabouts. SED responded to a residence in the 18000 block of Albany Street where Contreras was located and was taken into custody. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown. Contreras was booked in at High Desert Detention Center for PC 664/187(a)- attempt murder, PC 246- shooting in an inhabited dwelling, PC 664/212.5(a)- attempt robbery, PC 30305(a)(1) felon in possession of ammunition and PC29800(a)(1)- felon in possession of a firearm.
