An actual real-world case involving castaways at sea who killed one of their fellow survivors in order to increase their own prospects for survival occurred back in the 1880s, and was brought to trial in British courts at the time.
We'll discuss the legal doctrines involved generally, and the 1884 British court decision specifically, in today's show.
