In today’s breakdown, I walk through the shocking incident at a New Jersey ICE detention facility, where Congresswoman Lmonica McGyver and others stormed federal property, threw elbows at officers, and ignored federal law requiring prior notice for oversight entry. This wasn’t lawful oversight — it was political theater with fists flying.
The law is crystal clear: under 18 U.S.C. §111, assaulting a federal officer carries up to 8 years in prison — the same charge many January 6 protesters received for merely touching officers. And under 18 U.S.C. §2384, seditious conspiracy for opposing federal authority carries a potential 20-year sentence. If prosecutors follow the law evenly, these members of Congress are facing serious felony charges.
