The handsome and eloquent John Little( +John Little ) recently received Tennessee State University's (+Tennessee State University) award for Service Learning and Civic Engagement.
John Little is the Director of Community Engagement for the Tennessee Charter School Center ( +Tennessee Charter School Center ) where he combines his passion for education reform and politics together through countless service learning initiatives that involve community and parental awareness as it relates to politics, education and community service.
A Nashville native, this recipient received a Bachelors of Business Administration from Tennessee State University. After graduating, he worked in the office of Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen where he served as the Lead Recruiter for the Governor's Mentoring Initiative.
He also works with Strategy Redefined LLC (+Strategy Redefined, LLC ), an organization created with the purpose to connect communities through parents, voters and community members.
He is also involved as a member of Education Reform Now ( +Education Reform Now ) ( +Education Reform Now), a program whose main purpose is to train parents in advocacy, public speaking and networking.
Most recently, he was honored in the Nashville Scene ( +Nashville Scene ) as one of the top eight people in the city to watch politically and the 2014 Best of Nashville Political Operative!
