With the Senate split 50-50, Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell and are supposed to be coming up with a power-sharing agreement. But is the Senate actually that split? After all, Vice President Kamala Harris is the tie-breaking vote. Still, Mitch McConnell, the very same guy who's done everything he can possibly think of to ruin our lives since 2015, just wants to let bygones be bygones, guys! Merrick Garland who?? Amy Coney Barrett what??
Good old Mitch just wants to make sure Chuck Schumer doesn’t kill the filibuster...the racist Senate technicality that has helped prevent progress since the Reconstruction.
What will Chuck Schumer do? Will he say “eff this” and leave Mitch McConnell behind, standing alone as Chuck speeds off in his cool muscle car, spraying loose dirt all over Mitch as he stands alone on the desert road where they met to make their power-sharing deal? Or will he shake Mitch’s hand and agree to take the high road as they share some beers at the lone bar on the side of the road in the middle of the desert where they met to work this out? Will they walk out of the peanut-shell covered floor of the bar, arms draped over each other like two old pals? Not if Schumer is paying attention to the warm breath of AOC whispering on his neck: "PRIMARY."
