It was a riot and an insurrection, and it’s being investigated, despite the whiny baby boo-hoos of certain lawmakers. Even the Capitol Hill Police are dissatisfied with the reaction of lawmakers on the Right, and they wrote a letter expressing their dissatisfaction.
And of course, Tucker Carlson feels the need to step in. According to him, these Capitol Hill police have sent a “ransom note.” They’re making demands, and because they are the lawmakers’ “bodyguards,” it’s leaving the lawmakers with no choice. Tucker Carlson! What are we supposed to do, as we follow your show’s teachings like you’re a prophet? This doesn’t line up! The police are good, and everything they say is right. This doesn’t fit with that. What the hell man? Well … I guess you’re saying that we can’t let these police influence Congress because we don’t want any committees looking into January 6 or Capitol Hill or what people say was an “insurrection.” That would be bad for Tucker Carlson people. Got it.
As we return to Francesca, Christina, and Robert, they discuss whether or not the formation of a committee regarding the Capitol Riots even matters. Robert doesn’t think it does, as no one with real power will be held to account. Christina thinks there are pros and cons to a symbolic formation of a committee. Francesca questions how much a committee matters given how much time has passed.
The group then discusses how insanely rabid the GOP is and how tepid the efforts of the Democratic Party are. It’s disheartening.
