Which Presidential pet would you adopt, which would you elect to office, and which are you sending to a farm upstate? That’s the question we posed to our illustrious panel this week of John Iadarola, host of The Damage Report, and Daniel Wayne Lee, the first black mayor in Culver City History, and current candidate for California’s 37th district.

The first pet on our list is the new White House pet, Willow. Willow is the replacement for the Biden’s previous dog who really liked to chew on people, and was supposedly found by first lady Biden before a stump speech. Earlier this year, the Biden’s also added the dog “Commander” to their First Family.

The second pet is Calivin Coolidge’s Racoon. This pet was sent by the people of Mississippi, and was intended as a thanksgiving meal, if you know what we mean. Coolidge didn’t accede to the demands of the Mississippians who wanted the raccoon made for dinner, and kept it around the White House as a pet.

The final pet from our selection is Andrew Jackson’s Parrot. This parrot was a companion of the president in life, and when he died it had apparently learned to swear a lot, and was eventually kicked out of the president’s funeral for cursing so often and so loudly.

Daniel Wayne Lee is the first black mayor in the history of California’s Culver City. He’s a veteran of the Air Force and national guard, an organizer and activist who was arrested as part of Occupy LA and at a BLM protest, and he was a Culver City councilmember until just months ago.
