In fact, the people who want to make sure that folks have access to basic healthcare and the right to bodily autonomy, need to simmer down and let the adults handle it. Just like they handled the end of the passage of any climate change legislation at all, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and completely scuttled Build Back Better agenda. That was Biden's agenda! We’re in great hands, folks.
It only took 14 days for Biden to take some mostly symbolic action on abortion rights, despite a two-month head start, but already the White House is mad that people aren’t giving enough credit to a guy who has flip flopped on abortion over his 1,000 year long political career. A White House comms director had this to say about people who want to make sure we all have the right to choose:
“Joe Biden’s goal in responding to Dobbs is not to satisfy some activists who have been consistently out of step with the mainstream of the Democratic Party. It’s to deliver help to women who are in danger and assemble a broad-based coalition to defend a woman’s right to choose now, just as he assembled such a coalition to win during the 2020 campaign.” Gotta love the inclusive language! They’re really hitting their stride these days. Rolling that bus right over everyone who helped elect Biden in the first place.
