YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIt’s Capitol Hill’s most dysfunctional will-they / won’t they.
Will Republicans settle on a new Speaker to lead the House of Representatives, or are we stuck in an endless cycle of closed door meetings and public mud-slinging?
Now over a week since McCarthy’s historic demotion, a dark horse candidate is emerging for the Speakership: Representative of California’s 20th, Kevin McCarthy. That is, if disgraced gym coach Jim Jordan can’t pull together the bickering coalition. “I feel real good.” Jordan said on Friday morning, before over 50 of his Republican colleagues voted against him, over 10 times as many as he can afford to lose in the real vote (4).
Also on the list is Patrick McHenry, the bowtie wearing temporary speaker.
Meanwhile, Democrats are popping the popcorn, and so are we.
