This is just one of many Israeli surveillance technologies that the US and other countries have made use of for decades. Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio used Israeli CCTV surveillance tech, ICE agents, and police training overseas, and Israel’s Hermes drones were the first drones used to patrol the southern border in 2004.
We spoke with Naomi Klein about why the West is so determined to not only support Israel but also continue to show the legitimacy of Israel’s security and military. We continue to fund Israel’s military to the tune of $38 billion in aid over 10 years. Because of this and our contracts with security and technology companies, the US has a sunk investment in fighting and funding a war on Gaza.
The military-industrial complex has used and abused occupied Palestine for decades. Will people finally wake up?
