While Israel is trying to claim the bombing of three aid cars was somehow a mistake or miscalculation, boss Chef José Andrés at the World Central Kitchen charity is bravely telling the world that his team was clearly strategically targeted.
Israel has admitted to the killings but called it a ‘a tragic event in which our forces unintentionally harmed non-combatants,’ and something that ‘happens in war,’” the non-governmental organization said. But the charity had coordinated with Israel on delivering aid and authorities were “aware of their itinerary, route, and humanitarian mission,” the organization added.
Those killed came from around the world – Australia, Poland, Canada, the UK and Palestine –
to cook meals for starving Gazans. Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that Israel’s explanation for the strikes was “not good enough,” while Biden said he wants to see Israel conduct "a full, swift and transparent investigation."
