Interestingly after Biden’s son’s guilty charge this week, Republicans still found a way to say that justice wasn’t being served. On Tuesday, Hunter Biden was convicted of all 3 felony charges in his federal gun trial, joining Donald Trump in the convicted felon camp. Hunter could face up to 25 years in prison for lying on a federal form about his drug use, lying to a gun dealer, and possessing a gun.
Despite what should be a win for the GOP after they’ve gone after the president and his family for years, right-winger found themselves deeply dissatisfied. “The Hunter Biden gun conviction is kinda dumb tbh,” Matt Gaetz wrote on X as the ruling was released. They are also going on to claim that somehow Biden’s conviction is a conspiracy to weaken their outrage over Trump’s own felony convictions or by convicting Hunter, Joe is somehow being let off the hook.
“The gun charges are a giant misdirection,” asserted Stephen Miller. “An easy op for DOJ to sell to a pliant media that is all too willing to be duped. Don’t be gaslit. This is all about protecting Joe Biden and only Joe Biden.”
