Following calls from media figures, Democratic strategists and even from fellow politicians for him to step down, the president is saying “no way, kid!” Biden seems to truly believe he is the only one who can stop Trump, expecting voters to overlook his age and mental acuity to save democracy.
After waiting several days after his poor debate performance to take an interview, Biden spoke with George Stephanopoulos at ABC for an extended sit down interview. The interview, however, didn’t necessarily assuage his naysayers. Following several blunders during the interview, even Stephanopoulos days later told a stranger (in a stealthily recorded video) that he’s “not sure he can serve four more years.” Biden almost seems to be borrowing stubborn egotistical tactics from Donald Trump, rejecting polling, calls from experts, bashing critics as “elites,” and insulating himself with his family in his ear. Unfortunately, it's up to Biden alone what the next move will be. What do you think will happen?
