Is Kamala Harris learning how to deal with Gaza outcry? Kamala is seeing and hearing protesters, but don’t expect any action beyond what the Biden administration is already taking… which is green lighting war crimes. We have seen Democrats and Kamala go through a couple different approaches to dealing with pro-Palestinian protesters. We went from a hushing “I’m speaking” to “respecting the voices” that she is hearing from the protesters in the audience.
We were joined this week by Simon Zimmerman, cofounder of IfNotNow, a movement of American Jews organizing their community to end U.S. support for Israel, as well as comedian, actress, and writer Eliza Skinner to discuss the multiple ongoing vibes shift of the Democratic Party. While the genocide in Gaza continues, American protestors in states around the country will continue to apply whatever pressure they can on the American politicians like Kamala who have the power to force a change in Palestine and Israel. Specifically, American policymakers need to implement an arms embargo and end support to the apartheid regime.
While Jews are only given mainstream media coverage when they throw pro-Palestinian protests under the bus, Jewish Americans with groups like IfNotNow and Jewish Voices for Peace have been leading the pressure campaign alongside the myriad groups pressing for an end to the violence.
