as posted by the channelNo other Trump nominee has broader power to harm the maximum number of people than RFK Jr. He is infamously anti-science and anti-vaccine, a cause that has directly led to his role in the death of children in American Samoa. He was picked by Trump to run Health and Human Services (HHS), which oversees the FDA - the agency with control over which vaccines are approved for public consumption. HHS also has oversight of the Center for Disease Control, the National Institute of Health, Indian Health Service (IHS), Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), the U.S. Surgeon General, and many more.
Recently we learned that RFK Jr.’s lawyer had previously petitioned the FDA to rescind the approval of the polio vaccine (!) which has saved millions of lives – especially the lives of children – by virtually eradicating the disease’s existence. Senator Mitch McConnell, long an adversary of Democrats, rose as the strongest defender of the polio vaccine as he himself suffered from the debilitating illness as a child. It does seem likely that RFK will be approved by Republicans in the Senate, but it’s not a sure thing given the tight margin of error for the GOP. No Democrat should vote for RFK. He represents the greatest threat to public health out of anyone in the incoming administration, and he is the greatest ally that debilitating but preventable diseases may ever have.
